1. Who We Are
TradeOS (“we,” “us,” or “TradeOS”) is the operating system for small home-service trade businesses. We provide field service management software that helps owners run dispatching, quoting, invoicing, customer records, and reviews from one screen.
2. What We Collect
We only collect what we need to make TradeOS work for you. There are three buckets:
- Account information. Your name, email, business name, trade type, and team size when you sign up for a free trial or paid account.
- Customer data you put in. Information you enter about your customers, jobs, technicians, quotes, and invoices. This belongs to you, not us.
- Usage data. Standard things like pages visited, features used, browser type, and IP address. We use this to find bugs and improve the product.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, full payment card numbers (those go directly to Stripe), or any biometric data.
3. How We Use It
- Provide and operate the TradeOS product.
- Send you transactional emails (login links, invoice notifications, password resets).
- Send you product updates and tips you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share your customer records with any third party for advertising purposes.
4. Where Your Data Lives
Your data is stored on industry-standard cloud infrastructure in the United States. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use Stripe for payment processing; payment card numbers never touch our servers.
5. Sub-Processors
The short list of services we rely on to run TradeOS:
- Cloud hosting and database (managed cloud provider)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Email delivery (transactional and marketing)
- Error monitoring and analytics
6. Your Rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your TradeOS data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 60 days unless we are legally required to retain it.
7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share your data, but you can still exercise these rights at any time.
8. EU/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in improving the product, and your consent for marketing.
9. Children
TradeOS is built for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
